We loved this place! First, we climbed Old Rag Mountain about two years ago, and haven't been back since, and this vineyard is right at the base of the mountain. In fact, the owner told us that most of his visitors are hikers. We showed up at 11 a.m. on a Saturday, and the owner greeted us and directed us... More

We stopped by Sharp Rock for a tasting over the weekend and enjoyed the experience. The tasting room is small - so if you go during winter, don't expect to hang out and enjoy any wine after your tasting. However, the property is sprawling and I'm sure lovely during the warmer months. The wines are creatively crafted by Jim the... More

We stopped into Sharp rock while passing through. Beautiful scenery. Adorable tasting area. The owner took us through the wine tasting. He was awesome. Knowledgeable, friendly and warm. The wine was nice. They have 2 cottages on site that is apart of their B&B. We didn't see them, but it would be nice to return & stay for a night/2.... More

My husband and I have been coming to this beautiful place for several years. We have always stayed at the "Big House" aka the cottage. Lovely view of Old Rag, swimming in the river if weather permits, listening to music if a show is scheduled, and cooking out on the deck. Jimm is always a delight and can tell you... More

Sharp Rock was the site of a family wedding. The owner went above and beyond for all arrangements and was very accommodating!

A beautiful B&B and vineyards overlooking a pretty mountain stream and the popuar Old Rag Mountain. The tasting room itself is in a 100+ year old barn with beautiful exposed timbers. The proprieter was very accomodating and knowledgable. He took a lot of time to explain his wines, the grounds, the area and Old Rag Mountain, which is nearby. The... More

Some of the best wine you'll ever drink is here, and certainly some of the best Northern Virginia has to offer. If you try the Chamois Rouge, you'll want to buy a case!

I just returned from Sharp Rock yesterday; we stayed at the B&B for two nights (if you do the B&B, definitely stay for two nights!). When I first arrived, I was so excited to see that I was staying at not only a B&B, but a winery. The convenience of getting a bottle of wine last minute was a great... More

On the same road as the trail parking for Old Rag mountain. After a hike, it was a nice way to get out of the heat and taste some Virginia wines. The tasting was only $3 a person, best price of the four wineries we visited that day.
