This VA beach boardwalk is amazing! 3 miles of boardwalk with restaurants and hotels on one side of you and the beach on the other. Lots of great parks and attractions. When we were there, there was several food booths selling fair type food. Check out the giant statue of King Neptune! Really cool!

Virginia Beach boasts a three mile long boardwalk, lined with hotels, restaurants and shops on one side and a wide sand beach on the other. There are surfing locations, a fishing pier, and several playgrounds scattered along the distance. The First Street, southern end playground (Grommet Island) is expansive, and designed for children with special physical needs as well as... More

I loved walking along the boardwalk, seeing all the family bikes and visitors out for a walk. There are some great restaurants pretty much from one end to the next.

We take our bikes and ride up and down the boardwalk. They have a bike path and we stop in one of the many restaurants on the boardwalk for lunch. All the national news about what happened down there a few weeks ago is an isolated incident. We go once a month and never have a problem.

one of the best experience. Very clean & long boardwalk. Unlimited activities. You can eat right in front of the water at any restaurant and choice you like. They have bike lane too.

When we booked our visit, we had no idea it was Monster Truck Weekend and had no idea they did this kind of thing on VA beach. Everyone was having such a good time watching the trucks racing, and smashing cars, busses etc. My biggest problem was holding my almost 60 wife back- she wanted to go drive! You would... More

I love this beach. It is pet friendly before Memorial Day and After labor Day. It has a 3 mile boardwalk with a bike path that runs from 1st Street to 37th Street. At 1st Street is where the playground is located, whete people would fish, and where the Inlet is with lots of boats parked. There are hotels and... More

This was our first trip to VA Beach, so the boardwalk was different than other beaches. We loved it. There was a place to walk or ride bikes, etc. It was a great way to walk and take in the sights.
