Just a few minutes from Downtown you will find tranquility on the river. I usuall try to canoe the river atleast twice a year andhave found Beavers Moose and Deer along the banks almost every time. Additionally the trail along the river offers the same chances, with the bonus of Indian Petroglyphs. Just don't bring your dog. They are not... More

Seeing wildlife whenever we go. The area is clean. Remember to lock your cars for safety. Bring your camera , you'll have a chance to make great memories!

nothing really there to see or do unless you have a small boat or want to hike with the snakes

I like very close to great hiking trails in this area. It's beautiful. Peaceful, quiet and hopefully some wildlife.

This gorgeous little valley laced with hiking trails and a five-star small river lies eight miles north of downtown, well away from I-90 and the South Hill intelligentsia, which is why few pay it much attention.
