I "accidentally" bought a Groupon to this. I thought it was for the museum in Tacoma. I almost blew it off as a waste of money. Who wants to go all the way to Spanaway? Well, we went anyway & we enjoyed it so much. It's not all glitz & shine like the museum. It shows the "real" Mr LeMay... More

Big inventory of many of the same or very similar cars, not much interactivity, not much variety, few exotics

We visited with small kids and it took us about 45 minutes to get throught the buildings. Lost of space to wander, and tons of cars to look at. I would like to come back without the kids to see the rest of the collection. We had a Groupon, so the price was right.

First of all, bundle up. It's freezing cold here. If you have arthritis at all....don't bother. This was a rather painful 'Run' through the museum. We couldn't stay long because of no heat but what little we saw was cool. The problem being is that so much of the really cool stuff is up on the racks where you can't... More

The LeMay Family Collection at Marymount improved the heating in our White and Green Buildings in January 2013, so they are warmer than this visitor may have experienced if they visited in December 2012 while they were installing the new heaters. More

We thought our Groupon tix were for the new Lemay Car Museum next to the Tacoma Dome, until we plugged in the address and travel routes in our i-Phone, which took us to a different site: in Lakeland, west of Downtown Tacoma. We had gotten tix for Lemay Marymount. Adventurers that we are, we knew we would be happy with... More

The museum has quite a few cars but the problem is you can't see them all. In one of the buildings you can't see about 2/3 of the cars as they are up on rack, and these were the older cars which you would want to see. In the other building the cars are so close together it is hard... More

We agree that we would love to have more buildings to showcase more cars! We have hundreds of cars in off-site warehouses, and it is our hope that in the future we will be able to show more of them at Marymount. In the meantime, there are more than 500 vintage vehicles at Marymount - our White building has several... More

There were hundreds of cars, but few we could actually "see". We found ourselves wishing we could look more closely at the majority of the crowded-together vehicles. The cars up on racks might as well not been there, as we couldn't see them. And all the vehicles snugged together in rows weren't much better, and the dim lighting did not... More

We only had a little extra time to kill on our visit to Tacoma, and I had a groupon for this. I anticipated being able to walk through and pick and choose what we wanted to see, but this had a guided tour. That was great, but we didn't have enough time for the whole thing, and our smaller child... More
