From other reviews, I expected a more professional place.. They do have a huge collection, but they were not good at telling the story of WV glass making. It's a bit of a hodge podge. Nice volunteers.

This place is amazing. It has grown exponentially since my last visit a decade ago. It's cool because they not only have gorgeous decorative glass--they also have displays of glassmaking equipment and utilitarian glass. And it's free--what more can you ask for?

I just happened to be in the area with some time to kill and found a brochure for this place and thought I'd check it out. I'm glad I stopped. Great collections and very helpful/knowledgeable staff. They'll be expanding soon so next time I'm in the area I'll have to check it out again. I really liked the marble collection.

Limited hours but glass lovers with spend hours browsing the exhibitions
If you like or love glass make this a must stop on your next vacation. The museum has one of the most extensive collections of glass made in the USA that I have ever seen. I've loved glass since I was in high school, but I've never seen a collection like this. It's telling that their annual glass conference draws...
