We had fun riding the bike trails, visiting the lighthouse and beautiful views of the shoreline. The park is very well maintained. It is huge. In fact it felt kind of weird as we knew there were tons of people there but you couldn't hear or see any of them. Very large park. We will revisit again.
Beautiful park with hiking trails, lighthouse and observation tower. We drove through the park one evening and then came back the next day to do some hiking. The Eagle trail has wonderful views and scenery. We also climbed the top of the Eagle observation tower. The golf course looks like fun, but we did not go there.
Between the hiking trails, bike paths, camp grounds, varied scenery, and the beach you could visit many times and still enjoy it. We spent a few hours here and loved the different types of views. Mother kids loved the beach which has shallow clear water in which to play. Pack a lunch and spend the day.
We loved the lookout tower. This is a large park with lots of hiking. The bugs are bad this year so take bug spray.
Hiking, biking, boating, swimming, camping, fishing....this park has so much to offer! Bluff hikes and beach hikes are gorgeous. Golf available. Most excellent theater under the stars at AFT, American Folklore Theater. Campgrounds fill up quickly, and are popular for good reason! Nicolet Bay beach and concession area is the perfect place to spend a summer afternoon. Boat and bike...

This park is in pretty good condition and in the summer time I know it gets crowded and they do have overflow parking. The lighthouse is ok. No need to go inside it. You can't get to the top of the lighthouse because the top isn't owned by the state but by the Coast Guard. Basically a family lived in...

This park is so pretty we will definitely be back to camp here! Had fun tooling around the many roads, visiting the lighthouse and climbing the tower. It was fun to be able to see the inn where we were staying across the bay from the view at the top. Great hiking options for all ability levels.
We have been to many state parks and this was our first visit here. The park is huge and well kept. We biked the 9.4 mile bike trail (the trail can be challenging in some areas, but a great ride). We hiked Eagle Trail, climbed the tower, and kayaked out to Horseshoe Island all in one day. When we decided...

There were plenty of trails that you can take depending on what type of hiking you wanted to do. Sentinel Trail is a 3 mile hike that is relatively flat, Lone Pine Trail is a trail less traveled, watch out for the end of the trail going towards Minnehaha Trail. The descend is a steep and rocky. Eagle Trail is...
