Growing up in the midwest, I have been aware of the House on the Rock. After more than 5 decades I finally had a chance to visit it this past weekend after a trip to Taliesin. I'm glad I went just out of curiosity but never have to go back. It's creepy beyond words and gives you a very anxious... More

I enjoyed this museum very much. Every corner there is something to look at and this includes the ceilings and bathrooms too. There are some beautiful collections from all over the world and antiques. There are amazing things large and small. Be sure to bring $1 bills or bring plenty of tokens because there are also many interactive things that... More

Way too much of way too much! A lot of walking in poorly lit uneven floors, ramps, stairs. Glad we saw it, but won't go out of the way again. Also, be sure to see their webpage about directions to get around the construction.

Everyone should see House on the Rock at least once. They advised us at the resort to allow 3-5 hours for the tour.....My Mom and I were there for 5 hours....it is just an amazing, incredible, unbelieveable place... and we are ready to go back... I can't compare it to anything else I have ever seen....Alex Jordan was beyond genius...if... More

The tour starts out slow/boring however as it goes on you will be amazed at every room. Took us almost 4 hours. Very exhausting however there are a lot of places throughout the house to rest.

The House on the Rock is truly a unique experience and one not too soon forgotten. We did the ultimate experience which includes all three sections. We were told at the beginning that it would take about three hours but since we took our time and looked at things it took us about 6 hours, with a stop for lunch.... More

It took me a little longer to get to this attraction that it should have, there was construction and I had to take a detour. Hopefully you will not have that problem. This attraction is rather expensive, it cost me close to $30 to see all three sections (the flower gardens were closed for the season). This could get expensive... More

It's hard to explain exactly what this place is. It's sort of a museum but not. It has all sorts of stuff that's just kind of stuff. The house itself is very interesting. It actually is built on a rock! One reviewer called it bizarre. I think that fits well. If you're anywhere near it and that pretty much means... More

We have been to the HotR two times - once as a couple and once with our kids. Carve out about 3 hours to really see everything without rushing. The house itself is interesting in architecture and style. One of the guides explained to us how they anchored the infinity room to the cliff which made walking out into it... More

My twin sister and I are fans of the House on the Rock and went a couple times for our birthday. The first time I was just amazed by all of the stuff, and so caught up in everyone gushing about the house that I shut out all of the negatives and had a fairly good experience. The last time... More
