This was a trip highlight. Don't miss it. We saw lots of wildlife and enjoyed the trip. The forest was beautiful this time of the year (May). The weather was unseasonably warm and delightful for touring.\

A visit here any time of the year is worth your while. Hike, bike, horseback ride, whatever your vice....This is a beautiful place to recharge your batteries. To get the most out of your visit, stop by the BLM offices at the base of the mountains on Hwy 16, just outside of Buffalo, Wyoming city limits. The staff will assist... More

Driving from Minneapolis to Yellowstone was pretty exhausting, this part was amazing though. Everyone has heard of Yellowstone, but I have no idea why I never heard of Bighorn. We went in May, but breaking through the lower clouds and seeing the beautiful landscape made it more then worth it. I saw a lot of beautiful things during our trip... More

We drove through here on a roadtrip and kicked ourselves that we had to keep going. It was simply breathtaking -- and that was just driving through. The colours of the mountains against the sky, the historic panels set along the road, the excellent road all made for an amazing drive. Highly recommend. We'd love to go back and check... More

Bighorn National Forest was a wonderful experience. Our route was north of Sheridan on Hwy 90 for about 15 miles, then a left turn on Hwy 14 through the towns of Ranchester and Dayton. We proceded on Hwy 14 for about 25 miles to the Burgess Junction, where we made the decision to turn right on Highway 14A. A good... More

Fall is a great time to come to these mountains. You do take a chance on snow and the temps are cooler but catching the fall colors are great.

This was our second trip to the big horns .. We came in June and again in October and still will need to come back again. There is so much to see and do in the park. Today our drive was the most beautiful with the changed colors of the leaves. We ride motorcycle and my only warning is to... More
