The museum is very well done. It is small but there is a lot of history in there with handheld audio recorders which give you information to go along with the sites if you want. The cost was $3 a person. They also will validate your parking for 3 hrs if you want to shop at the mall for awhile...

I live on Maui, and I had a wonderful time learning the whaling period on Maui. Very educational. A lof of valueable items to look at. Many pictures to see.
If you are interested in learning about the Whaling industry then a visit to the museum should be on your to do list.

Always a cool little museum to go to after dinner,or any time. Give You a good idea what the whales were like and the wailers.
Very reasonable fee, and they'll validate your parking! Small museum, but quite informative and interesting.
The museum is small, but full of interesting items telling about harsh life on the boat, and lots of whale teeth carvings, I highly recommend visiting even if it will require a drive up. When leaving the museum, go toward ABC store, this is where a whaling boat is displayed, looks surprisingly small for chasing a whale.
