It has been awhile since they had the agriculture festival, it certainly left a great impression on me! Had delicious lavender lemonade, guava kiss and the Kula cooler from the Aloha Bar booth. Loved all the wonderful booths, actually! Kids enjoyed riding the horses and seeing the animals! So many enjoyable things at that event and enjoyed the delicious ribs... More

We took the tram, and learned about all the plant life in the islands. We then stopped for a demonstration on how to crack open a coconut. The tram then continued. Our driver kept things fun and interesting. After the tour, we had lunch here. I had the fish & chops, which were pretty good. Great prices in the gift... More

The Maui Tropical Plantation was one stop on our Roberts tours Best of Maui tour taken as a shore excursion from our Hawaiian cruise. This was a nice stop on our tour. We enjoyed the tram ride around the plantation learning about all the plants and trees. We stopped for the coconut husking demonstration but I missed part of it... More

We visited on a Saturday. The setting was quite nice, but not nearly as nice as what was described in their brochure. The tram ride was interesting, but a bit pricey for what you got. And, as noted, on a Saturday, the only shop open was the main one, which is quite nice. The specialty shops were all closed, as... More

A very nice and well kept place. What a pity that we couldn't hear the explanations given by the guide/tram driver because of the low quality sound system. We couldn't even hear his name. There is a place along the tram tour itinerary where everybody gets off the tram and the guide explains without using the sound system. Those were... More

Thank you for visiting the Plantation. We apologize for the inconvenience. We were in the process of painting the trams and the sound system was disconnected. This cause some challenges with our sound for a couple of days. The sound system is now working correctly. Thank you for taking the time to write a review. More

No cost to visit this working plantation. There is a tram that can take you for a 10 to 15 minute view of the property and even a couple of zip lines for the adventurous. The gift shop has the usual nuts and floral shirts and it is only a 5 or 10 minute ride from the city. On the... More

Enjoyed touring the plantation even though it was raining and the grounds around the shop are beautiful. They have a really good selection of Hawaiian grown coffee and a tasting area to help you decide. They sell wonderful coconut candy that is worth trying. There is a really nice spot inside the shop where a local photographer sells her pictures... More

Maui Tropical Plantation is the venue for the annual Maui County Agricultural Festival. If you are on Maui during the month of April, be sure to include this event in your itinerary. In addition to great live entertainment on a centrally located stage throughout the day, the event features and ag tent, an education tent, and of scores of booths... More

We stopped here after a visit to Iao Valley State Park on a Sunday afternoon to browse the craft fair. Small number of vendors, but they had GREAT (better) prices on Hawaiian products that are available in shops and another larger craft fair. The bonus was the train ride around the farm. My mom and I are native North Dakota... More

Nice place to learn about plants and produce of the island. Quick little trolley ride, great for those not so fast on their feet. Lots of interesting fact! (Bit pricey)
