I spent a couple of weeks in Hawaii in Feb 2013 and had the pleasure of meeting Brian and doing a 5 day surf package. I had surfed before (still very average) but wanted to actually surf as opposed to spend valuable time finding spots and ideally avoid spots with too many people. Unfortunately conditions weren't that great during my... More

After just a couple minutes of teaching, Brian took us out. All of us, including the 9 and 11 year-old kids, got up the first time. Brian was cool, relaxed, and good with the kids.

Over 14 days in Maui, the 2 mornings we spent with Brian were the best part of the holiday. We hadn't planned to go surfing originally. As a family of four with our two kids being 8 and 5, we didn't think surfing would even e possible as a family activity. Brian proved us wrong, in spades. With his magic... More

I can't thank Brian enough for taking my family surfing, what an awesome experience. I saw other surf companies on trip advisor but most of them seemed to surf in Lahaina which I knew was over crowded and made the surf experience more like being herded like cattle. You can Google Earth the surf area in Lahaina the big surfing... More

First of all, we never planned on taking a surf lesson. We (the kids) were boogie boarding @ black rock beach and were approached by a girl who had a private lesson earlier that day. She saw how much we were enjoying boogie boarding I suppose and took it upon herself to tell us about how amazing her private lesson... More

Brian was so amazing and an excellent teacher. We were up in less than 10 minutes and had a blast. Brian made it low pressure and laid back which made it so much easier to learn and have fun. I would absolutely do this again!!

I was once asked, what was your most perfect day? Without hesitation, that day would be November 25, 2008. On Maui, it started with a surfing lesson with Soul Surfing Maui (www.SoulSurfingMaui.com), where my 8 year-old daughter caught her first wave (photo can be seen on my blog at http://www.alohafridays.net/2013/02/perfect-day.html), a basketball game watching future Denver Nugget Ty Lawson lead... Just had a killer trip to Maui, took a chance on a couple trips with Soul Surfing Maui while there, and have Brian to thank for sending me home with some amazing experiences. First let me say that, if you're a beginner, the guy has a million boards and knows a million locations to get you standing up and riding... More
