This beach was very nice. There were 4 green turtles sunning on the beach when we arrived. They have about 25 in the area and have seen up to 10 sunning at one time. The beach is very pretty and you can get up pretty close to the turtles. They put a rope around any areas where turtles are sunning... More

We were so lucky to see 10 - 12 turtles sunbathing on the beach. This is a great spot right off the main road. They do have someone there roping off the turtles so that they are not disturbed. Please respect them so that many can see how beautiful they are.

This place is would have been better if we had seen some turtles! There were alot of people there, and not really a great beach for swimming. I would recommend at least seeing if if you are on the north shore, and hope you get to see turtles bathing in the sun.

The turtles come out to sun themselves in the afternoon. We saw nine on the beach. There were volunteers watching over the turtles and the crowd. These are endangered creatures so there are ropes that are set up to keep the people away from them. Unfortunately when the crowd gets too big and the guardians get too chatty with the... More

Sweet to see our Turtles, Just please respect them and our Aina (land) This stop is a bear for us locals as it plugs up our one road in and out of the North Shore. And it is a hassle for visitors wanting to go further to Waimea, Sharks Cove, Pipiline, Sunset Beach, Turtle Bay,

Laniakea is one of favorite beaches. Known locally as just Lani's Beach (or just "Lani's"), you'll find a great place to surf, swim, relax on the beach, or watch honu (sea turtles) bask in the sun. It's a very popular tourist attraction now so expect large crowds on the Pupukea (east) side of the beach.

This was worth stopping in at, but truly, just spend a little time on the North Shore beaches and you'll eventually see some turtles chilling in the water. The day we went, there weren't any on shore. We had much safer and secluded experiences seeing turtles at the other beaches. (I say safer because yes, the traffic is a mess).... More

We always stop here when going to the north shore. It has really gotten crowded over the years. I can remember when we were the only people there. Not that way now. Seeing turtles is always a cool thing. Just don't touch.

Turtles are always there as well as hundres of tourists taking pictures of them. If you're staying in the North Shore for some days you will sure spot some turtles in other places too.
