The beach area is limited and it is a bit of a walk to the bath rooms. Not good for snorkeling, but a great protected body of water if you want to learn to paddle board.

This was a sweet town, and the beach was great. We happened to go on Memorial Day weekend so it was very busy and there wasn't much room for anyone. I really think that this would be great on any other day than when we went. The water is so blue and the area was gorgeous.

Not many people here, you could listen to the waves and not be disturbed. SUP in this area, lots of surfing outfitters, lots of small shops.

great waves, shells and fun times..more of a local feel and we had a house close to it, so it was really nice to just look at the reefs, enjoy the wildlife and quietness

We hired a car and after visiting the Outlet stores we too a drive to the North Shore. Rather than taking H1 and H2 we stuck to the old roads and saw a lot of the interior of the island. We pulled into the car park of teh Halwiwa Beach park and had fantastic views of the ocean / beach... More

The weather was perfect and it is a much slower pace on the North Shore. The beach is pretty but kinda busy.

Probably the best spot to learn how to surf. Not busy like Waikiki. Rent a SUP (Stand Up Paddle board) here.

Great spot for beginner surfers. Swell is not too big. Beach is very secluded, and empty for the most part, the views are breathtaking during sunset, sometimes you can see the honu (sea turtles) Totally Chill!

My aunt is a local that lives on the north shore and she took me here to go paddle boarding. If you head south on the beach you actually can paddle into the mouth of a river that leads back amongst some houses. Very easy paddle boarding. A relaxing afternoon for sure.

We spotted dozens of sea turtles in Haleiwa Beach and one came out and laid on the beach. Amazing experience to be close with them.
