He would have asked you for ten cents admission and introduced you to his fantasy world. Since it is documented that no one ever witnessed Ed's labor in building his beloved Coral Castle, some have said he had supernatural powers. Ed would only say that he knew the secrets used to build the ancient pyramids and if he could learn them, you could too. Today, you can tour the Coral Castle with our tour guides. Narration available in English, Spanish, French or German, Japanese, and Russian. Features of the Coral Castle Museum include a 9-ton gate, a Polaris telescope. We invite you to witness for yourself what millions saw on national TV's "Ancient Aliens" "Sabado Gigante's Don Francisco" "Good Morning America" "That's Incredible" "In Search Of..." "You Asked For It!" and "Ripley's Believe It or Not". Billy Idol wrote his hit song, "Sweet Sixteen" just for us. Coral Castle is one of the Top 10 Historic Hot Spots in South Florida!! « less

While this is a very interesting place with a lot of interesting history behind it and mystery my turn off for the place was the absurd entrance fee. For to much for what you get. The fee at tops should be 5$ to get in not the crazy 15 they ask you to fork over to see such a small... More

Unless you live in the area or are planning something besides this place not worth drive. We drove about an hour and half. The entry fee (6-9-13) was $15.00 per person. That is extremely too much! $8-10 would be appropriate. The historical factor is great, but seriously it is an okay neat structure made by a very depressed individual. Like... More

OK, my new home builder told me I had to visit this place on my way to Key West. So, in the drizzle my wife and I went and paid our $$$ to go in. This place was the life creation of some very short Latvian guy who had some sort of rejected lover relationship that may have caused him... More

We visited Coral Castle on our way from Ft. Lauderdale to Key West. I grew up in Suth Florida and had always wanted to visit, so we added it to our itinerary when we had the chance. We found it an interesting experience. Back in the day they used to emphasize the "mysterious" aspect, making a mystery of how one... More

This place is very cheesy with not much to really see. You can get the full story and see pictures of everything on line. However, I have to admit it was interesting. Our family went and although there isn't that much to see we had fun making jokes about the place. It is a long way there and don't take... More

I guess this would fun if this was a stop on your way to somewhere else, but I don't recommend it as your destination. You can explore the whole place in 15 minutes. Interesting, but not enough.

Thank you ED! thank you for building the castle as a daily reminder of what one man can do given the resources, vision, creativity and dedication. An homage to his unrequited love, Coral Castle is one of the coolest places to visit in South Florida - created by Latvian visionary Ed. Take the tour, it's not long but very informative.... More

Every state has at least one attraction built by a person with an obsession. In this case, a Latvian gentleman, whose heart was broken many years before he came to America, created an enormous edifice made entirely of blocks of coral. Here he immortalized his lost love. The castle itself is amazing, and they still can't figure out how he... More

ok the Castle was worth it!!!!!- BUT----------the trauma of trying to get people to help us find it was very inefficient and disappointing -------- - we were from overseas and had no transport (no tours go there from Miami) and we wanted to see if there was a way to travel there via public transport - We phoned the people... It certainly is not what you come to Homestead to see, but once you are here, for an hour and $15 dollars, it was very interesting and entertaining. There is a 45 minute tour constantly being offered. Guides are very informative and take pride in the park. Much like when the original owner built it, you can and then walk... More
