Good spot for information gathering. Worth taking the moment and speaking with the many assistants there to help. Did help in finding attractions off season.

Luckily my rental car company worker told me to go there first. Thank goodness I did. Took the trolley tour that went all over town for first half day. Gave me a great orientation to city with some tips and stories. Good for the next day which allowed me to go to the Grove Park Inn Gingerbread display w/o paying...

This is a useful place to visit if you are a first time visitor to Asheville. All of the Trolley tours leave from here, and there is a good sized parking lot. You can also get discounts on tickets to Biltmore (it's worth stopping here if you're going out to Biltmore).
There is lots of tourist information and a nice...

You will get all the help you need and view beautiful hand crafts and have hundreds of brochures at your disposal. NC is a tourist haven and mecca. Love the arranged day trips and train and trolly rides. They are extremely helpful here.
This is where we parked to catch the historical trolley, and then walked to the city center. Great place to get your bearings and get good advice for where to eat and shop. We picked up some great hand creams in the gift shop and bought water bottles that we refilled at the water fountain. Lots of information and helpful...

Was walking in Asheville and did not know where to go, we stumbled across this visitor center where the restrooms were nice and clean and the employees readily available to help us find something to look at that we have not seen before.
If you aren't familiar with Asheville stop here first. They are very helpful and have TONS of maps, pamphlets and info booklets. There is a huge wall of restaurant brochures (some with menus) and another for hotels. My fave display showed a map with the sites of scenes from the Hunger Games
Despite what I read, the center is a great stop for Info. We received info that I never would have known about or read! If you need to know something, ask the LOCALS!
Good place to start a visit. Lots!!! of brochures of what to see and do in Asheville. Free downtown map. You'll need it.
Visited the Asheville visitor's center on Thursday Feb. 24th. Took Hwy 240 off of the main I-40 hwy and followed the signs. It was easy to find, abundant parking, and well organized.
They have a huge array of handouts/pamphlets/maps if you choose to "do it alone" and not ask for any assistance, there is an area you can pick and...
