This place is so amazing I hate to review it and tell others about it for fear it will become overcrowded one day.

North of Morganton, in the Pisgah National Forest, start at the Brown Mountain Beach Recreation area. Gravel road follows along this great river gorge. There are many places to get out of your car and get on the river. Bring your swimsuit & towel and have a great day.
