Outstanding venue to see old Movies, clips, TV Radio! Unique attraction in NYC At any given time one can witness people from all over the Planet sitting @ monitors laughing heads off. i got so caught up in the spirit i was asked to be quieter with my responses. Lots of events go on @ the Paley center, formerly called... More

I joined the Paley Center in NYC because they advertised daily programming of classic TV in their downstairs theater, but they do NOT deliver. I looked forward to seeing selections of classic TV like Playhouse 90, Andy Williams, Martin & Lewis, Flip Wilson, Julie Andrews specials, Paul Lynde specials, more variety shows and classic comedy. But their programming turned out... More

This place is a treasure trove of media artifacts. You can pay a minimal fee to sit down at a computer for 90 minutes and watch anything that has ever been on television. Loved it!

I thought it was a museum. It is not but uou have 2 hours to look up what has been on TV-shows, documentaries, the ads from the 50s were fun. I watched Mary Tyler Moore Show where Chuckles the Clown was killed. A classic!

They have a really big collection of old videos of all types. You can easily browse the collection, or research keywords. The only negative thing is that you have to stay only a hour and a half, which isn't enough but understandable. In a nutshell, this is a must-go for a rainy day !

I prefer the original name - Museum of Television and Radio. Just don't expect your standard museum experience. Have a seat next to one of the computer screens (nothing fancy or modern), and choose from an extensive archive of whatever strikes your fancy. From Beatles of yesteryear to Topper (1937), Father knows best, or whatever you like best, chances are... More

Such an interesting place to visit, if I was a New Yorker I reckon I'd practically live here. Not a museum as such but a repository and resource center for media, lots of archive material. A big theater with films and docos on special - the day I was there they were showing a TV special on TV Comedians. Up... More

I expected more of a museum type of feel with exhibits from TV and radio. However, they had one small exhibit, but the rest was either a movie playing or access to a computer and watching television programs. It was fun to search out long lost interviews or old TV programs. I would not recommend an child under the age... More

What I like best about the museum is the ability to see a TV show I liked many years ago. They have most of them.

The best part of this attraction are the archives of old TV and radio shows that you can access by computer. I watched the 1969 Super Bowl Game between the Jets and Baltimore, and a little bit of Have Gun Will Travel. It's all very nostalgic and I suppose some people will find it all heartwarming but it quickly wears... More
