Signs to the Zoo were non existant but employees were helpful. Soon found the entrance. Animals were interesting, loved the penguins, Polar Bear was sleeping. Got some great pictures. Try not to go on a Saturday, full of excited kids and strollers.

The Central Park Zoo is great for a short visit, with everything nicely laid out and accessible. However, the cost seems high for the small zoo. Still, a good part of a trip through Central Park.
Went to the central park zoo in spring on a mild day with my wife. Looked good from the outside but upon seeing the first exhibit it was clear this wasn't going to be a good zoo. You'll see the sea lions first on a tiny exhibit which is basically a big pool with some rocks in the middle. Moving...

This is a great thing to do and see while in NY. So well kept and the staff were helpful and informative. Don't miss out the sea lion show such fun!
Considering the free kick this place has gotten from the Madagscar movies, the absence of animals - let alone most of those actually in the movie - is a disgrace. Unless you like penguins. They have those here. Oh, and a seal.

We took my 18 month old granddaughter here over our short weekend who is really into animals and zoos. This was most disappointing. Other than the sea lions and penguins, there really wasn't anything spectacular about this zoo. This is a very small, compact zoo but I expected maybe a giraffe or an elephant...only monkeys, sea lions, birds, fish, and...

Love this zoo! Packed with a great variety of unique animals. The seals were the stars! If you can go at the seal feeding time it is worth the price of admission. The penguin exhibit was also a must see. The tropic zone housed the most gorgeous birds. It is also a walk thru rainforest. You can also see snow...

This is a quaint zoo nestled in Central Park. I appreciate this zoo for what it is. I actually liked the layout of the zoo. Many of the exhibitions were spread out enough to make you explore the zoo but also small enough that it was t overwhelming for toddlers.
Since this is a smaller zoo you will not see...

This place is small, expensive, and crowded. If that is what you are used to I guess its good. I've been to quite a few Zoo's and would rank this as the worst one. Definition of a tourist trap.
