My daughter and grandson and I went to the Arboretum near the end of April, a perfect time to go. The flowers were all in bloom, the weather was gorgeous. Took the stroller, the walk was fine, up and down hills, even pushing a toddler. Lots of fun things for him to see, statues, the treehouse, and especially the Big... More

Me and my husband visited Morris Arboretum at the end of April and there were many trees in bloom and specially magnolias were gorgeous! We spend half of the day there and we saw the whole gardens and attraction there. For me was very interesting the Big bugs exhibit which will be in Morris Arboretum till the end of May... More

I've been to Morris Arboretum often since I live fairly close. It may not be Longwood Gardens but it is well kept and the Greenhouse was built new in the last decade. After seeing this beautiful acres and acres Botanical Arboretum, lunch much better in Chestnut Hill....and a walk down the Avenue. I wouldn't recommend lunch at Arboretum.

Spent a pleasant morning at the Morris for a special program featuring Japanese Drummers and a demo of Zen Archery. It was a beautiful day with the plant and trees just beginning to bloom. It was very enjoyable and interesting. Very expensive. I wouldn't go there without the special events. Twenty eight dollars [senior rate] for two is not worth... More

During another long weekend trip to explore Philadelphia, we decided to venture out of the historical area. We didn't come by car, so we looked into public transit and discovered that SEPTA offers one-day individual ($11) and family ($28) Independence Passes for unlimited travel on SEPTA trains, subways and buses all around the area. Upon arrival by train, we made... More

167 acres of pure beauty. Lots of paths and plenty of benches if you want to just sit and admire nature. Great play areas and climbing sculptures for children. Not a lot in bloom yet(AP 14th...another week or two and I am sure it will be quite a display ) but still pretty awesome. I plan to visit several times... More

The Arboretum was beautiful even in the fall. We were just looking for something to do for the day and to hike for the day. Well, this certainly was the place to do that with the many trails and hills. Being handicapped myself, it was a great workout to walk through the many trails. My husband and I took the... More

I'm sure this place is beautiful in the late spring and summer. We went on April 2 and there really wasn't much to see. They had the giant bugs exhibit and that was ok. But overall, I'd go again but not until the gardens are in bloom.

We particularly like the outdoor railroad display. Each year beginning in May they reopen the trains with a ne theme. They then close the display in September to reopent for the holidays Nov and Dec. The out on a limb childrens area is unique and fun for all. The summer concerts are a great way to spend the evening.
