Love the vistor's center. It is easy to get around and for the first time you get to meet the men who were there

The park is just beautiful and well kept and the visitor's center is a must see stop that every age can enjoy. We,ve hooked out grandchildren on civil war history by taking them here.

Great biking tour of the battlefield, including a southern reenactment group! Enjoyed the informational plaques and the beautiful scenery.

The battlefield is impressive by it's size and quietness...if it wasn't for fellow tourists and cars you could almost imagine the sounds. The best thing is the ability to drive your own car and see things at your own pace. We encountered a number of tour buses and school groups, but we were able to time ourselves around the throngs... We only had about 5-6 hours for this and to really see and appreciate it you should spend the night and do it in two days. We did the self-guiding auto tour and chose not try and see everything which would have been impossible. My big disappointment is that are NOT able to get very close to where Lincoln gave... More

We have visited a number of Civil War battlefields and this is a must see for anyone interested in the battles. If you don't want to do a bus tour you can have your own private tour guide, that is what we opted for and really was more personal.

Very nice displays explaining the battles and background of the war. Of particular interest was the "clean-up" following the battle. Cineoroma and movie are first rate.

Highly recommend the self-guided auto tour with the CD. Allows you to get an overall feel and then pick and choose those areas of most interest. The echoes never fade. This should be a required pilgrimmage for every American.

An absolute MUST is the guided tour with a licensed tour guide in the comfort of your own car. The tour guide drives you around the battlefield - a huge area six miles long and 4 miles wide - and takes you through the 3 day battle day by day from each area of the Battlefield where the fighting took... Great way to start your tour of the battlefield area. Must see the diarama (sorry not sure of the spelling) and the movie.
