A few of us went to Gettysburg as part of a Civil War trip. So, keep that in mind - we all enjoy learning about the Civil War. We found the museum, Cyclotron, and, to a lesser degree, the movie to be excellent. Well worth the money (BTW, if anyone in your party is an AAA member, you get a... More

The park is very well maintained and historically accurate as possible. The battle field looks much the same way as it did back in 1863. A moving experience. More

If there is oonly one site you check out regarding the civil war than this is the placfe to go to. Make sure you take the ranger guided tour as it is well worth it. Not much else to say as the numerous other reviews here say it all. More

It exceeded my expectations. Make sure to allow for enough time and do one of the ranger walks if your schedule permits. Start your visit at the visitor's center and do the film and museum first. It was a highlight of the trip. More

There is just no way to describe the tribute this community has bestowed on keeping alive the memory of the Civil War and the battles fought in Gettysburg while simultaneously honoring those who fought and those who sacrificed their lives. It all begins with a visit to their newer Visitor Center and is substantiated with a visit to the large... More

My husband is a big Civil War buff and he is a "Northerner". After visiting Gettysburg, it appears that the site is catering to Southerners with the frequent appearance of the Confederate flag and other Confederate paraphanalia but it was an interesting perspective. We should have been prepared for the fact that the entire town is the battlefield and that... More

I love Gettysburg and one of my favorite places is the battlefield. For history buffs you need to stop at the visitors center and get a cd tour and follow along as you drive. It will give you a wonderful overview of our nations terrible battle. More

Really worth a visit; so much to learn about soldiers who fought there and the 3-day battle that occurred there. More

The Gettysburg Battlefield is located a few hours outside of the Washington DC area and definately worth a day trip or a weekend. Any visit should start at the National Park's Visitor Center, but from there can take several paths depending on your level of historical interest, money and available time. We ended up buying the "combo pack", which included... More
