We were on a tight schedule and wanted to see as much of the battlefield as possible. The front desk staff at our hotel recommended GBBT so we gave it a try. Our licensed guide was friendly and appeared to be very knowledgeable about the battle. He was able to answer any question that was asked and his passion for...

First and foremost, you want to purchase the value package at the vistor's center. This will include the bus tour, museum, and cylcorama. Battlefield bus tour is worth the time, however, it is only good to wet your whistle. If you really want to understand this major event in history you must take the auto tour. The Gettysburg brochure has...

Our tour guide ellen was awesome. She really has a passion for history and the battle of Gettysburg. Answered every question accurately. Just the right amount of everything.
We really enjoyed this and we learned a lot. I think you get a lot more out of this sort of thing with a guide rather than just driving through in your car. And the guide could really make history come alive.
I enjoyed the information given to us as we were on the guided bus tour. I just truly wish the bus could've stopped a bit more for photos en route. Next time, I'll do the auto trip.
Unfortunately we had an insufferable guide who no doubt thought he was a funny and clever guy. Instead, he was loud and obnoxious, constantly trying to be witty, cracking jokes about a nearby Walmart, talking sports and disparaging college students in the town of Gettysburg and constantly asking us tourists on the bus questions about Gettysburg history, practicing the Socratic...

We just finished up our first ever trip to Gettysburg and decided to become oriented to the events that seem to define this small city that a guided bus tour would be the best way to accomplish that. I'm glad we did. The bus was comfortable. The guide was superb. We had done some homework before coming but learned a...

We had one screeching and talking throughout the tour and it was very distracting and difficult to hear the tour guide. This is a 2 hour tour on a bus, and it was not inexpensive. Unless your child can still still and quiet for that length of time, I don't recommend it.
If your visiting Gettysburg, you might want to take the bus tour. It was very insightful and interesting.
