I went to the national aquarium with my mom for my birthday. The staff was very nice and we had a good time. It's definitely on the small side, so I wouldn't suggest going long distances to see it, but if your in the area it's a pleasant way to kill a couple hours.

I've been to many aquariums and while for me, the one in Singapore will still remain my favourite, this one came in a close second. The dolphin show is fabulous - with the dolphins seeming to love and enjoy what they do, which is fascinating. The aquarium itself is beautifully organized, with a logical path through the entire place. I... More

This was my first time to the aquarium and I had high expectations because I had heard so many great things about it. I was sorely disappointed. For one, the timed tickets are completely irrelevant. They weren't timed at all--it was massively crowded. I went with a three year old, couldn't bring in a stroller (which I completely understand, but... More

We have been to more aquariums then I can count. This one stood out as the best one we have been to. The layout made it very easy to move from one area to another. Loved the jellyfish. We got there right at 9 am and had lunch in the café and left around 1:15. By the time we left,... More

We are not aquarium experts so we don't have much to compare this to. But my kids had a great time here. We went during a very rainy day in B'more and so we were able to miss a lot of the crowds. My 7 year old son got excited from the moment he went in and he continued to... More

Learning place for anyone who wants to learn about our oceans and its sea life and preservation of same. It is always crowded with children so if you don't like noise don't choose this place. Enjoyed the jellies exhibit most of all. Some areas are currently under renovation.

We spent the afternoon at the National Aquarium in Baltimore with the family including 3 children and 4 adults. It was excellent. Very well maintained and very informative. Next month they will open a new venue featuring reef sharks and environs. If you go on weekends, go early to avoid crowds. The dolphin show is very good. Just a good... More

This was by far the best aquarium I have ever visited. The vast array of species was impressive and the way it was split into different zones/climates and allowed you to really get a feel for where these creatures live in the wild. The dolphins were the icing on the cake and the facility was just beautifully kept. It was... More

This was definitely not what I was expecting. As someone accustomed to seeing rows of fish tanks at zoos, it was great to see the way these buildings were laid out. The layout keeps you moving up and down to view all the sea creatures, and each tank offers something a little different. A little expensive for admission, but worth... More

First off if you are planning a trip try to go when it opens. That is the least busy time. Very important. We were looking forward to the jellyfish but there were SO MANY people being tunneled through that we had to wait several minutes to see one little viewing area. Not easily done with a toddler & 9 year... More
