Unfortunately, because of a dispute between the City of Vancouver and the Parks department, most of the planes have been removed from the museum. Let's hope the dispute can be resolved and the planes returned, as it was a really nice small museum, perfect for children without being overwhelming.

The museum was a small but nice museum, it's importance being 1. the airport is the oldest contiuinal operating airport in the state and the area. 2. The Russian Chakalov trans-polar flight landed here, sort of like the Lindberg trans-Atlantic flight and just as big. It was run out of buisness by the National Park Dept. which owns the land... Unbelievable that a wonderful air museum would be forced to close their doors...let's hope the city of Vancouver can get behind them & re-open!

For starters, the Pearson Air Museum is for people who like planes and history. They have a variety of exhibits with placards from long to short depending on how much detail you want. My personal favorite is a bench seat from the 'Hindenburg.'

This little-known, small air museum is a trip. And worth a trip. The coolest thing is a cut-away small version of a 36-or-so cylinder rotary engine of the kind that was used in the last propeller passenger aircraft, e.g., the Constellation, before jet engines took over. An amazing piece of engineering, shaped like a pine-cone, and to think they did... More

A smaller, up close look at some wonderful air history. We had a great volunteer that was a bonus to our visit with info. Highly recommend to all ages.

This is a smaller museum, but they do a great job with it! Far more engaging and better laid out than Evergreen (although nowhere near the number of planes). Very informative, and located adjacent to the beautiful Officers Row area (worth the trip itself). I strongly recommend it.

Small museum, but very nicely put together, e were able to use the flight simulator computers and got an idea of how difficult or easy it is to fly a biplane. Would like to see this museam expand.
