A quick 2 minutes and a photo was an exciting experiment. Glad we were in it for only 2 minutes; would not like to in that temperature for 2 months.
Nothing special about standing in a small room (think large closet) freezing to have your photo taken. But then this is located at the riverboat tourist gift shop, so do the full tourist bit. It is a good laugh.
Not impressed at all, since this is just a come-on to buy a photo of an individual standing in a freezer. You can get a better experience by visiting a Birds-Eye vegetable freezer storage facility. Or for that matter an occasional drop in temperature in Wisconsin, during the winter months, which gives you at least the opportunity to purchase an... More
I was not impressed. The marketing point of it this is to sell you a photo as you stood and froze your buns. It's a little freezer room with a window. It's cold!!! But I would not splurge for the photo.
Not impressed. The whole point of it was to try to sell you a photo as you stood and shivered behind the glass. It's just a bare little freezer with a window -- that's it.
Just a little room in the back of the gift shop. You go in, you shiver a bit, you leave. Not one of those minutes that shape your life.
More fun just to say you did it. They don't want you to take your own picture of yourself standing in front of a thermometer that shows how cold it is.
From the online photos, I thought this was a larger "attraction". It's just a freezer in a back corner of the Discovery river cruise gift shop. I had read online that they have parkas for you to wear and little experiments for you to try in the cold. Not so. Two bored teenagers manning the little freezer booths who shrugged... More
Wished I had known the girl was actually snapping the picture as I would have smiled at the camera. The room is cold and you do get a taste of what it would be like to live in a "deep freezer". The experience was worth the cost, but if you already know what winter is like in the north, it... More
Although I wouldn't want to spend large amounts of time out in 40 below, you would be amazed its not as cold as one would think. You hear it all the time about "dry" heat, well the same goes for cold. The drier the air the less the temperature feels. So being dry at 40 below wasn't bad.
