It is normally photogenic, but not with tons of construction going on. Watch out if you veer into the bike lane as folks are racing downhill and you might get hurt.

We enter the Brooklyn Bridge from lower Manhattan by the courthouse and walk it both ways, but if you only have time for one way I would walk from Brooklyn to Manhattan so you have that great view in front of you. Take the cyclist only lane warnings seriously and stay in the pedestrian lane. Their lane is a serious... More

We did not walk because it was raining. You can still enjoy it from a car or from Brooklyn promenade look for the Statue of Liberty

Our taxi driver told us it would take over an hour to walk the bridge, which was rather a daunting prospect as it was pouring with rain the day we chose for our Brooklyn visit. In fact, it took us twenty minutes, including several photo stops. Do not be put off! Walkers and cyclists share the space, so watch out... More

Very easy, very safe, extremely scenic walk. At the Brooklyn end there is a beautiful walk. Go up to Brooklyn Heights and walk the beautiful neighborhoods.

We enjoyed our walk over the Brooklyn Bridge. It was a nice view and is a busy place. They sell water and fruit in some places on the bridge if you are in need of refreshments on your journey.

Liked the great views from the bridge, plenty of photo opportunities, the walk was good, even on a very warm day. Try a visit to the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory when you finish your walk, makes it all worthwhile.

Walking the bridge was on my husband's bucket list so we decided to go rain or shine. The entrance was very easy to find from the Courthouse in Manhattan and the path was clean and barrier free. Unfortunately, there were very few places from where to get a view of the skyline. Most of the path had high walls (probably... More
