Although the weather was cloudy and cool on our three-hour trip to (and from) the point where we got off the boat to walk to Rainbow Bridge, it was sunny at Rainbow Bridge itself. I first saw this natural feature almost sixty years ago - in a geology text book - and I was glad to, eventually, see it for... More

This requires a 52 mile boat ride one way to get there but it's worth it. The scenery on the lake is incredible on the ride there and back. There is a little over a mile hike from the boat dock to Rainbow Bridge but it is not a hard hike.

My wife and I did the boat tour from Lake Powell Resort to the Rainbow Bridge. The boat trip alone was an experience not to be missed. excellent commentary on personal headphones all the way. Passing spectacular lake side scenery and seeing the towering bluffs and mesas. The final part down Rainbow Bridge Canyon is awesome as the sides of... More

A long cruise to this (3-4 hours), but the boat was nice, and the crew was great, making a good effort to give the history and highpoints of the journey. The payoff of the arch was spectacular, with an enthusiastic park ranger at the base. It's about a half mile to mile hike to it, but recommended. Take a sandwich... More

We took the 6-hour boat tour from Lake Powell Resort and it was a great way to see 100 miles of the lake and beautiful scenery. As you get further away from the resort, the colors change, the rock formations are incredible and we even saw a herd of mule deer walking on the beach. The actual Rainbow Bridge Monument... More

We booked a package deal online for the Rainbow Bridge 6 hour boat tour and two nights at the Lake Powell Lodge in Wahweap. Both were well worth the price, and we enjoyed both the boat ride and the hike very much, as the scenery is phenomenal. Be sure and check the Lake Powell Lodge website for "package deals" before... We took the Lake Powell Boat cruise out to this monument, and while it was a long boat ride, the views along the way were breathtaking! It seemed like a tight squeeze maneuvering our way through the canyon to the monument drop off, a short hike to the bridge itself - definitely worth it! We got some great pictures!

We went for the second time in september taking the boat trip from Wahweap. The boat ride is good as it offers free soft drinks and a choice of shade/non shade. If it goes the direct route (subject to water depth around antelope island) it does not take too long and often the crew will point out significant rocks and... More

We had booked the Rainbow Bridge Centennial Cruise departing from Wahweap, Lake Powell. It is expensive but both the scenery on/at Lake Powell and the Rainbow Bridge are impressive. Please note that the duration of the trip depends on the water level. We were told that in our case the cruise took about more than one hour longer than usual.... More

We went to the Antelope Marina and booked a speedboat tour to the Rainbow Arch. We thought it was a little pricey at $400 for the two of us, but we enjoyed the scenic trip out on what was a clear sky and flat water. Our guide, Joe, stopped about halfway there and explained a little of the history of... More
