I woke up at 4am to gather my things, short drive and hike to Horseshoe Bend. I'm a photography enthusiast and wanted to shoot Horseshoe Bend at early light. Even though I had seen pictures, I was blown away by the seeing it in person. Incredible, peaceful beauty. If you go, don't let the short hike deter you. I am... More

On of the best things I photographed on my roadtrip. Bring water and sunblock. Part of the hike is uphill both ways and in sand. Its not bad but can be in the summer or heat of the day but well worth it.!

The sunset was beautiful here. The wind gusts were crazy that day. the hike down to the area is not too long but it is in soft sand. Take some water and a bag to keep your camera in to protect it from the sand.

It is a short hike to stand above the horseshoe and look down from the rim, the view is amazing. Everybody can do this relatively easy walk, a bit steeper on the way back.

If you're near Page, it's worth a little uphill trek (about 10-20 minutes one way) to see it from the top. We went rafting around in and it's a completely different view from below versus top. Both are worth it.

With no rails of any kind I found this just a little terrifying. I am not very good with heights and was not able to get close enough to the edge to get the full view, I'm not sure anyone could, I suspect most of the pictures you see are taken from a helicopter. Still breathtaking, well worth a visit... More

This place is amazing! Just 10-15 min drive from Antelope Canyon. The view is incredible. No entry fee and a free parking next to it. Not many people around there, maybe because its not owned by Indians yet or not everyone knows about the place.

20 minute hike to the viewing spot - bring a super wide angle lens - nice to look at, but it's over quickly and you're on your way back to the car

Absolutely beautiful and the walk there on a scale of 1-10 re difficulty - 10 be hardest, is IMO a 4. While staying in Page I asked a guy in the elevator at my hotel with his little daughter, have you been to Horseshoe Bend yet? He said, "no, it isn't in the brochure I have." So I told him... More

The hike is well worth it, but can be tiring in places as the sand is thick and the path is hilly. But you can take your time and the view of the horseshoe bend is beautiful and is just like the photos. Wear closed in shoes and don't be scared of heights!
