We love the Ober Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway. While we were in Galtinburg we rode it twice, once in the morning and the once at night. The view was great.

The views going up and coming back down is all there is. Once at the top there is no area to simply take in the view. The "shopping mall" is a tourist trap. Not worth the $12 round trip fare.

The ride up and down is all there is. You are taking a ride to the winter season ski lodge which is transformed to tourist trap in the summer. I was pretty terrified on the way up, the ride can be a little bumpy and swingy, but totally worth the amazing views. Not much to do up on top in the summer, other than take in the view, but totally worth it

This is my third time riding it. I would love to see it during winter. You really see some unique mountain homes. Look for the house built around a boulder.

Tram ride was awesome...views were indescribable! I was a little nervous at first but the operator was very knowledgeable and even provided some great descriptions of some of the houses while we traveled up. If you haven't rode a tram, you should do this one. Unfortunately, it started pouring down rain as we were leaving; therefore our views were not as good as in the past, but you could still see some things.
