Never new there were so many innovative ways to sell shine - legally! Walk in, show some ID, and try out the many flavors of shine. I ended up with the Shine Cherries and Blackberry Shine - both an excellent vintage. When you're there, try the 100 proof shine straight up. What a kick!

Ole Smoky is the first federally licensed moonshine distillery in the state of Tennessee. A visit to Ole Smoky is the true moonshine experience. As you approach the entrance, you can detect the distinct smell of our grains cooking and fermenting. You’ll see authentic working moonshine stills and experience the process from beginning to end. Our distillers will take the time to visit with you and answer any questions about the history and lore of moonshining in East Tennessee.After you see, smell and hear about the process, we offer you a taste of our shine for free. Samples of our Original Unaged Corn Whiskey, White Lightnin’ and Moonshine Cherries – plus we offer seasonal and special flavors that aren’t available in package stores. And of course, you’ll be able to buy plenty of moonshine and Ole Smoky merchandise to take home with you.

My husband is a huge fan of the tv show "Moonshiners" so we had to visit while here. Loved to be able to sample all the different flavors and to buy a jar or case of moonshine was very reasonable. Will definitely visit again!

The atmosphere here was very charged! The prices are not bad and the testing areas are fun! This was not my first choice to see but now I am so glad I had a chance to experience this place! This is a must see!

We always like to sample the new flavors of moonshine, but this year, we just bought some and left. The wait is crazy, but the employees put on a good show. They are very good at what they do. It is a fun place to go if you are curious about Moonshine in the Smokies.

We do this every year. You can observe how they distill the moonshine. They have outdoor seating with live blue grass music. The free moonshine tasting is awesome! You get to taste every flavor they make (I think it is 10-13 flavors). Be sure to tip. The moonshine is authentic and strong.

We went to the Ole Smokey Moonshine Distillery twice for our free sample of moonshine. I loved the apple pie moonshine while my husband loved the white lightening. This is a must stop if you are in Gatlinburg. Moonshine and great music nothing better then that!

If you want to taste real moonshine and 12 different varieties try out this place for their free samples. Set up as a bar you will get the chance to try them all....FREE! Lots of fun!

We checked out the Moonshine....The men of our group wanted to see it. Have live displays of moonshine in the process of being made. Free tasting of the different flavors of moonshine.....highly recommend a designated driver or time to walk off your moonshine before you drive....It is strong stuff. Friendly staff.

If you're looking for a fun time, be sure to visit Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery. There is an outdoor seating area of rocking chairs and great live music to listen to for free! Plenty of local restaurants right next door to enjoy as well!
