We were staying across the canal from this church at the little known but amazing 'Triveni River Palace' resort. The church was visible from across, and it fascinated me for it's typical Potugese style architecture. I took the local ferry across for Rs 2/-, and walked along the canal to the church!

Edathua church is a famed catholic church. the feast of saint george is celebrated with much gusto especially by the tamil mainly fishermen devotees who camp the area during the season. The saint is well known to cure bodily ailments when prayed with a silver mini replica of the body part.
We came across this church when we were on the rice barge sailing the backwaters we disembarked from the barge we walked through the village.
