4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 June 2013 NEW

Our expectations were'nt high after some other reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised with this little gem. The museum offers a guided tour of the 7(?) rooms related to various aspects of gangsters in Hot Springs, including live comments from the guide and a video (5 minutes?) with the owner's narrative and historical interviews - Maxine is great. In response... More

Learned some interesting facts but didn't get to see any real gangster artifacts. I could probably find the same video presentations on Netflix.

I'm on the tour right now and it's so boring! You just watch boring low rent history channel videos in room and look at pixelated computer printouts of old photos. No real artifacts from the period. I AM SO BORED RIGHT NOW!!!!

My wife and I took the tour and enjoyed it. My wife is not a real history fan, but enjoyed this museum. The tour takes about 45 minutes to an hour. It's a good mixture of artifacts, pictures, news articles from the period and video. The one thing that really made it great was our guide was a gentleman who... More

Our tour guide was great but basically she gave us an overview of what the video reported in each gallery and then we watched a video in each gallery. There were a couple of really good galleries in there but you pay to basically watch a series of 3 minute videos. You didn't have any time to get up and... More

Very interesting place. The amazong history of Not Springs "underworld" is explained and illustrates from room to room with artifacts and video presentations. Plus a guide to take you through and explain what you are looking at. My grandsons love this place.

Not empresses. I would give this museum a 3 or 4. It was just not bad but not good either. Too pricey. The gift shop was pretty nice though...It contained books, hats, and nick-nacks. The owner could add so much to make the museum more interesting but just hasn't.

I'm torn on the rating, between 3&4. Definitely not a 5. This type of attraction is the sort of thing I normally love. I did enjoy the exhibits and the information on the history of gangster activity in Hot Springs. However, the tour is missing something. Our guide was good and he had some fun stories, but he was mostly... More
