If you're looking for a quick scenic hike or a whole day adventure, Lake Catherine State Park is the place! Located only a couple minutes from Hot Springs, it makes the perfect little getaway while providing spectacular views of rivers, waterfalls and the forest itself.

really cold lake , not so great fishing . very beautiful and clean. may stay on the southern portion in the future

This is a beautiful lake but the campground view is a power plant. I would not camp here for that reason although there were a lot of others camping.

My wife and I camped here in a travel trailer 22-29 March 2013. This is a quiet,beautiful well maintained park. The camp sites are spacious and most have a lake view. Lovely area. Looked great. Stopped for lunch and walked to the waterfall. Will remember to wear old tennis shoes so we can walk in the water next time. Very good work out!

We did the 2-mile Falls Branch Trail hike back to a nice waterfall. Some mild elevation change but definitely not too strenuous. Trails were well-marked and maintained. Swinging bridge at the end adds a little bit of fun. Even with regular stops for snapping photos, the hike only took about an hour. Definitely worth the visit.
