I actually love Lake Sylvia. It is far more than average, but as a lake it is not much. What I am saying is that this forest service property is beautifully sited on the Ouachita Trail , with campgrounds and bathroom facilities and there is swimming in the pea-green colored lake in the summer. It's a great site to visit...

Beautiful setting - small lake with campgrounds surrounded by National Forest. Most campgrounds are Class A with water and electricity. Great swimming area. Only 30 minutes from Little Rock.
Hiked the Lake Sylvia Trail starting on the one lane road just past the camping sites and took the trail to the south. Fall colors are starting and the leaves lined the trail in bright colors.
