An amazing experience takes place each Sunday morning in New Orleans: the Gospel Brunch at the House of Blues. A live interactive musical experience featuring a lead soul sister with four backup singers and an excellent house band gets the crowd excited and into gospel and blues music.
And what a brunch they put on. A breakfast area featuring everything...

The Sunday Brunch was a marvelous. Featuring a dual mother/daughter quartet of singers, The Voices of Distinction, the vibe was soulful and vibrant from beginning to end. The brunch consists of breakfast basics like scrambled eggs, grits, a build your own omelet bar, and fresh fruits, to local favorites like fried chicken, bread pudding, shrimp and crawfish, along carving station....

At the last minute we decided we wanted to experience the Gospel Brunch at the House of Blues. We got to the Box Office at 9:30 am on Sunday morning and managed to get tickets for the show that starts at 10:30. Would recommend booking much earlier to get better seats. Went during the jazz fest at the founders club on the top floor. Great service, great funky music by a band on a minuscule stage. Decor is very eclectic. Creole food on the menu.
Had dinner in their restaurant and was excellent. Had the Mahi Mahi and would compare with same eaten in Hawaii. Both food and drinks reasonable. Within walking distance of Bourban St and French Quarter hotels. Entrance is down an alley, but don't let that dissuade you. It's an experience in itself. Friendly service, clean. Just plain fun! I would call...

Visited here for a corporate event. They had rented the entire facility for a party. The food was Ok but the music hall was nice. They had a house band playing that really engaged the audience. The music/band was the best part of the event.
Having only really known House of Blues as a chain, I wasn't expecting too much out of the food when we stopped there for lunch. To my surprise, I got some of the best fish tacos I've ever had on our recent trip there while in New Orleans.
We stopped hear after sheer exhaustion having walked around the French Quarter...

We had a fun time here. The food was great, great service and we got to sit outside and listen to the music. It was a great experience and you have to order the triple chocolate cheesecake!
