Well maintained grounds and museum. Very informative. Good place to picnic and just relax, especially with your family.

Close to Atlanta, but no so far away. Gives the feel of being away from the city. Great Cival War History.

Small park with nice visitor center and movie of battle, but the park is mostly a large hill with a few cannons set out. Nice walk on a sunny afternoon, but no big deal.

The Kennesaw Battlefield covers many acreas and the story of the battle is told as you move about the park. The battle itself was all about time...the Southern Forces needed time to evacuate Atlanta, time to organize and move out valuable military supplies, time to destroy what could not be salvaged and finally time for Southerners to realize they were... Wonderful trails, lovely visitors center, amazing place! This park surpassed our expectations. The view is wonderful from the top. It is a very doable 2.4 mile hike from the visitors center to the top and back. Go!

My daughter and I arrived @ the mountain @ 11 am and found plenty of parking within walking distance of the mountain. We had 2 bottles of water and used most during the 2 hrs we spent on the mountain. From the top we could see downtown Atlanta and read about the Civil War history of Kennesaw Mt. The hike... More

To be honest with you, I did not visit Kennesaw for the history, but simply for the hike and exercise. It was an absolutely beautiful area and we saw a few deer on the top hiding away from one of the paths. Being from Florida, the hike was a bit of a challenge but there were many lovely places to... More that just a battlefield, this lone mountain north of Atlanta looks over the main north south rail road and is a natural fort. The city of Atlanta to the south is visible on a clear day. This battle is what most civil war buffs understand to be the deciding battle of the civil war. If Atlanta did not fall... More

Nice park. Laid out well. The visitor center has a very interesting museum with several artifacts. Above average gift shop filled with civil war memorabilia & souvenirs. My son is working on his civil war patch so we decided to visit this park to add to our list of 3 parks we needed to visit for the patch. You myst... More
