You can take a guided tour, or get a brochure and tour on your own. This is an amazing building, and you can even sit in on live sessions of the State Senate and House of Representatives if they're in session. It was fascinating, but the big attraction is the building itself. Well worth a visit!!!

Definitely a stop you should make if you can. The building is artistic and interesting. If legislators are in session you can stop in the upper level viewing area. Within walking distance form other attractions.

Go for the beautiful dome, art and architecture. Seeing the legislative chambers was interesting. Tour guide less than inspiring.

Beautiful. We met with Senator Haine and Rep. Beiser. We stopped to see Rep Davidson. He was in caucus. The art was gorgeous. We sat in on a session.

I have to admit that we have one of the State reps as a friend. However being 'recognised' by the House as International Visitors is a highlight of my life. This was followed by tea and biscuits in the Secretary of State's office. A brief meeting with Governor Pat Quinn and a tour of the building.
