I have taken my 2 grandsons to children's museums in Lynchburg, Baltimore, Charleston and other cities in the past 2 years and Richmond's ranks dead last. I felt like bleaching the family after leaving this museum. All of the exhibits are overly worn out, dirty, and or broken/missing. This place is in desperate need of cleaning, updating, and or remodeling before I come back.

We were very dissappointed as this place call's itself a Museum. We were expecting a lot of History in the form of Educated Staff to give a tour or something. Our 18 month and 4 year old children loved this place. We spent 3 hours, but could have easily spent the whole day there. Water, drinks and snacks available on site, but be prepared to go elsewhere for lunch. Favorite activities included the auto mechanic shop (changing tires and mufflers, etc.) and playing with the bats in the "cave."

Fun time for the kids and for adults that are watching the kids explore new things. So glad they have added more locations!
