The Te Au Moana Luau has a great location at the Wailea Marriott Resort. We thoroughly enjoyed the show and the food. I love the back drop of the Pacific Ocean. The MC is great!
Staying at the Wailea Marriott Resort and spa, the location was ideal for us. The Luau is right on the hotel grounds. The setup was open and comfortable. If you had premium seats, great, but we had just as good seats without paying the premium. The food: The pork was great and they actually pulled the entire pig out of... More
I am a skeptic when it comes to luaus. I have been to several over the years, and I went to this one only to keep my spouse happy. I was pleasantly surprised. I rate luaus based NOT on their Hawaiian content, because that means a MILD show presentation, but instead on its fire dancer and its SOUTH Pacific drumming.... More
We enjoyed the Te Au Moana Luau. It was definitely not as entertaining as the show at the Polynesian Cultural Center. But I didn't expect it to be either. The show was pretty decent and entertaining. The food was pretty darn good actually. I would return here if I were looking for a luau on Maui.
When on the islands a luau is a must! How wonderful to find that the Wailea Marriott Resort and Spa has one right on site. Bit on the pricey side but most things are in the islands. It's worth the extra $10 for premium seats placing you right up front to see the show. The food was wonderful and there... More
We truly enjoyed our evening at the Te Au Moana Luau. As you enter the grounds you are greeted with fresh leis and escorted to your table. Our hostess was beautiful and explained the significance of the food and history of the people of Maui. The show was spectacular from the food to the hula dancers, the male dancers and... More
We wanted to go to a luau as part of our Hawaiian holiday experience. This one was recommended by the concierge at our hotel. The kids enjoyed it but our overall feeling was that it was way overpriced and very commercial. Nice sunset and enjoyable show but poor food and not the cultural experience we were hoping for.
We went to this luau based on the recommendation from our hotel conceierge. I dont really have anything to compare it to because the last luau I went to was when I was a young child. The setting was beautiful -nice sunset and views, but the food was boring and bland (even the dessert was boring). Some parts of the... More
Never having been to a luau before, I had high hopes that this location would prove to be a worthwhile experience. Based on previous input from friends & family, I expected traditional food items, rather than Americanised products. The poi was okay, as were the taro and the kalua pig, but where was the fish? I mean, aren't we on... More
