“Really surprised by the quality of the wine”

We happened here by chance and were most delighted by the delicious wine that we tasted. Marco does a remarkable job making the wine in a small storefront winery adjacent to the tasting room. “A jewel amongst ruins.”

This was a little tough to access at first, with the construction, detours and traffic. But the effort was worth it. The rep for this winery was great. Very knowledgeable about the production, producer and the wines. She made you feel at ease while sampling their selections and you left there feeling you were appreciated for coming and she talked... “Regional vintages with old world taste”

Travessia is conveniently located in the Historic District of New Bedford, within walking distance to local businesses and attractions. They are best known for their white wines made from Southcoast Pinot grapes. New vintages have moved into the reds. My favorites are the Vidal Blanc and the Rose.
