Charter flights are available and can vary from 20 minutes to several hours duration. Flights depart from Franz Josef Glacier and Fox Glacier. Our flights encompass the Mount Cook National Park, and both Franz Josef Glacier and Fox Glacier. Glacier landings are our specialty. Our helicopter flights allow people with limited time to “get away from it all” and experience area of New Zealand’s wilderness renowned for its outstanding natural beauty.

“Great Adventure”

This was a great adventure, flying onto the glacier and then hiking for more than three hours to see the various ice formations. We had a knowledgeable guide with us who made our journey interesting. We were provided with all the necessary equipment. Best part was going through the narrow ice cave.

This is a must do. We took off from Franz Josef on a beautiful clear morning. It was really fantastic, flying around both glaciers and Mount Cook. Pricey, yes but a wonderful experience. The pilot was great and unhurried, so we had plenty of time to step out onto the glacier and say things like 'this is amazing!' a lot.... More

“If you can afford it, do it!”

Not cheap, but it gives such a brilliant perspective of the mountains and glaciers. The pilot was communicative and confident. We are sold on helicopters!

We took the heli trip from Franz Joseph. It should have included FJ, Mount Cook and the Fox glacier, but Mount Cook was covered in cloud. It was also a bit too windy. We were so lucky to have the perfect day to fly above both Fox & Franz Josef glaciers and also around Mount Cook. Sam, our pilot, was very knowledgable & this is a must -do when visiting the glaciers. You get to hop out on the snow at the top of the glacier and take in the breath taking view.... More

We had a truly fantastic helicopter trip this morning. After wet weather yesterday and overnight, the sun came out and made this a perfect day for a flight. Sorry to hear you did not receive a window seat, we do encourage passengers to switch seats during the snow landing, however ultimately the pilots are responsible for the safety of each flight which includes the distribution of weight to safely balance the helicopter. Unfortunately changing seats isn’t always possible. We endeavor to provide customer service above what is expected... More

We took the trip up to the Fox Glacier with a snow landing. The trip was excellent and the pilot gave a good commentary about the glacier and the surrounding area. “The best thing ever!”

This was an amazing experience and something i will never forget.Visited Fox and Franz Josef Glacier and landed on Fox glacier on a perfect evening.The trip lasts about 25 minutes and costs 225$ (n.z) The whole experience felt really safe in the hands of our pilot and would recommend this company if you want to give it a go.
