The walk to the glacier is very nice and it is a wonderful site to see, although sad when you realizing that it is shrinking so fast.

It costs a bit, but getting a scenic helicopter flight up and over the glacier and then a couple of hours guided tour on the glacier right up to the face complete with crampons and ice tunnels is an absolute must. Do it while you still can.

Disappointed with this attraction as we were really looking forward to seeing the glacier up close. It is all fenced off but you dont know this until you walks some kilometers to get there. Landing on top of the glacier was a buzz. Picked a nice day for it with clear blue skies. The views of the southern elps were amasing. Thanks to Glacier country scenic tours, by far the highlight of the two week tour of the west coast.

Ups and downs at the start, up at the end, mostly level for a long stretch across the braided river bed. Waterfalls all along the path. Part of the glacier has calved, which you pass several minutes prior to reaching the main section. Better, more picturesque view up the glacier valley than at Fox.

Since the base of the glacier has retreated even more due to global warming, the origionally planned hike became a heli and hike tour to our satisfaction.
