Good for families. Maybe older elementary... Play / Discovery center was good for younger kids! Columbus' boats were really cool and neat tour.

My son and I checked this museum out during a recent trip to Corpus Christi. We didn't really expect much. We were pleasantly surprised. The museum is nicely done and has a lot to check out. Plan on spending a few hours walking and looking. There's a lot to see!!!

The museum collection is a bit eclectic. The layout of the displays didn’t seem to flow well. I became disoriented a time or two and the map provided at admission could have been better organized. Loved the industrial science displays! The scale model of a refinery was amazing!

To your right as you go in is a display of minerals. It is interesting, but to the left as you enter is a really good display of historical items and details. This was a very pleasant and informative experience. I learned a lot about Texas coast history and the kids really enjoyed the exhibits of local wildlife and the interactive play area. Most of the exhibits were unchanged from our visit years ago. There is hardly anything unique to the museum, but if you have never been and you need to fill some time during spring break you may as well visit. The most unique exhibit is a sad story. Husband liked it as he is a history buff. Old shipwreck remains fascinate him. It is very close to Whatburger Field & Corpus shoreline.

pretty nice as museums go. recommend taking the tour of(2) columbus ship replicas. they were built in spain 1992 and sailed to america. they also have one docked in the harbor.
