This little museum is pretty interesting, but the displays need some work and organization. Perhaps that has been taken care of. It has been nearly a year since we attended.
We went to this place after we left the visitors center. The lady at the front desk was so very sweet. They don't do guided tours but she walked us through a few of the pieces they had there and gave us a brief history of the museum and then she left us to ourselves. It's was a nice place....

we wondered the city looking for things to do and happened upon this location. surprising amount of interesting exhibits. very enjoyable.
I do enjoy museums. I have even left my group to tour museums on my own....but this was a total waste of my time. Sorry.
The museum is very small but it is packed with informative information. The good thing about the museum is that is offers pieces beyond what we traditionally think of as Asian by including the Indian countries. I had a good time and would visit again.
I visited the Asian Museum while in Corpus recently and I was like a kid in a free candy store. I collect and sell Japanese dolls, porcelain, and hakata dolls. This was the most amazing collection I have ever seen anywhere. Corpus Christi is truly blessed to have such a fine museum of Asian items and we would certainly steal...
