Seen several recent productions including "The Producers" and "La Cage Aux Folles." Surprisingly strong productions. Good direction, good sets, strong voices. Wonderful to see our small city has such talent. The theatre itself is old and cramped, but lovingly cared for.

We went there to see Mel Brooks "The Producers". For a community theater production, it was excellent.I was surprized at the "canned" music but got used to it. I was expecting a small combo or maybe just a piano but the canned music probably was better than a piano. It is easy to park and buy tickets at the box... More

Enjoyed a high-quality production for a community theatre. This is a great addition to the cultural offerings in Albuquerque.

Traveling through town from Carlsbad to AZ and caught a show here. Walked from our hotel (Hotel Blue). Everything about the performance was enjoyable. The theater is on the older side and from the 2nd row, it seemed like the sound was coming from behind us. Could have been an acoustic illusion. Didn't detract from the experience, though.

Not sure what happened to the review I posted several months ago on ALT, but it's gone so I'll post another. I volunteer at this theatre and the experience working within as well as simply participating as an audience member is always extremely enjoyable. The productions are top notch for a community theatre. The personnel make you feel like family.... More

Nothing I didn't like. It is a little more expensive than some of the smaller venus around town, but has a quality atmosphere and good shows. About $20 a person.

This is no Big Production Place but for it's size - it is a great experience and a wonderful value. We have seen many productions here over the years with our latest being 9 to 5 and it was Fantastic. Finally decided to become season ticketholders after that production - very well done. I would recommend any production here to... More

ALT has seen many changes, and have been doing more and more musicals, which is something largely missing from the local scene. The talent can be hit-or-miss, but mostly you will always be created to a warm cast and a fun crew. No matter if the ones onstage or backstage are good or not, you can tell they are always... More
