I took a 2 hour trail ride in the Rocky Mountains, the guide was friendly, helpful and knowledgable about the area, supportive to another rider who was having her 1sr riding experience. The horses were clearly well cared for and good on the trails. It was very reasonable at $50 for the 2 hour ride.

If you are into "sitting a horse" like a Western cowboy or cowgirl, this is one of the best stables in the region. The rides into the national park are delightful, and the horses are well-behaved (most of the time)! The wranglers are highly experienced, very welcoming and friendly, and always keep your safety in mind. What a great way... More

The Stable hands, and horses were well trained to guide us up 10,000 feet to the top of the mountain. Our Trail Guide James was very knowledgable about the land and ensured our safety up and down. My horse Joker knew to manuever the terrain very well. The scenery was so beautiful and conversation was very pleasant. Thank you to... More

I had never been horseback riding but decided that riding in Rocky Mountain National Park would be worth trying it. National Park Gateway Stables was recommended by our hotel as they are one of only 2 concessions that actually rides in the Park. I decided to book the early morning 2 hr ride with them. Our guide, Chelsea, was great.... More

Just recently a friend and I went to National Park Gateway for a 4 hour horseback ride near Estes Park. My friend and I were lucky enough to catch the early morning 8 AM start time and so it was just her, I and our guide Chelsea. Thank you Chelsea for a scenic and safe ride through some amazing terrain.... More

Went up alluvial fan to Mt. Yupsilon. I tried to tell guilde my horse had problem-yep, an 8 hr trip and a bad shoe's a problem. The guide walked the remainder up, and all the way down so I could ride his guidehorse & he walked my horse down. I tried to get him to let me walk for awhile-wouldnt... More

National Park Stables Cowpoke Corner Corral's trail ride is the best "thing to do" in Estes Park! The trail ride is definitely worth the money. My husband and I are not frequent horseback riders and we were very apprehensive about taking our 6 year old granddaughter on this excursion. Our worries melted away as soon as we arrived at the... 1. Have not been on a horse for many years, and it was a non-factor. These horses are VERY well behaved and pretty much drive themselves, and I'm sure they've walked these trail hundreds of times. You would be doing yourself a disservice if you let your inexperience scare you off. So if you're a inexperienced rider, do not worry... More
