San Antonio River Walk is a unique and fun experience. It is like being in a beautiful oasis in the heart of town. In addition to taking in the beauty, there is a huge variety of shops and restaurants there. We drove down from Austin just to do the River Walk. It is great for couples and families with children...

Went for a lil walk by the River and decided to take a tour on the boats they have going up and down the river. Had a great time and would suggest you take the time to make a trip out here.
I had never been to San Antonio, but I loved it. The Riverwalk area is a great place to walk around, but you can also take a boat ride. We took our 2 young kids on the boat tour and they loved it. The guide was very informative and I learned a lot about the history of the area. It's...

I've seen this on TV, but you don't really get the sense for it until you actually do it yourself. For just under $9.00 you get a tour of the river walk on the barges which bring you though a section of the river that flows thru River Walk. The guide of course did the lame jokes, but that made...

If you go to San Antonio and don't like the riverwalk then you are CRAZY! It's my favorite part of San Antonio. So much people watching (and getting people watched), shops, culture, bars, and eateries. This is my second time to San Antonio and couldn't wait to get to the Riverwalk. I even found a path I hadn't taken the...

We had a couple of great meals along the Riverwalk, my favorite was Rita's where they make handmade tortilla shells for fajitas. The only thing that wasn't 5* is that I had hoped there would be more shops, and the shops that were there were full of very touristy things.
We took the boat ride witch was about $8.00 each was not worth the money. It was very crowed on the boats and not a lot of room to sit
Lots of shopping - always a plus. Love the river boat tours and the sense that history is all around you.
