We did the circumnavigation of San Juan on the Dirigo and it was fabulous. Overnighted on the boat (comfortable), dinner at a restaurant in Roche Harbor (more a cultural than a culinary experience), saw Minke whales and porpoises, and sailed whenever there was wind. We wanted to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary with something special and we found it. Captain Art and his crew (Morgan, Nate, Amy and Josh) made our day on the Dirigo II an absolute delight. Who wouldn't enjoy a day of sailing in the San Juan islands on the beautiful Dirigo? Add to the experience the warmth and hospitality of the crew, and you have a perfect day trip!! I highly recommend it!! More

Our family spend the day on the Dirigo recently, and had one of our best family outings of all time. Friendly and professional crew, tasty snacks, and the relaxed (uncrowded) atmosphere all contributed to a great day. If you are considering a sail with these folks as an option while in the islands: Trust me, do it! More
