Allen Marine runs a 3 hour "Sea Otter Quest" for cruise line passengers, and it was great. We were promised to see sea otters however we saw eagles, whales, bears, deer etc! The staff was knowledgeable. The seats were comfortable, warm, and enclosed. They provided hot chocolate. The binoculars and broshure were helpful but not necessary since the staff went as close as possible to the wildlife.

We took the Misty Fjords Tour from Ketchikan. The tour takes place on an impressive big and very powerful motorboat. Outstanding features are the marine and avian wildlife, the trip itself, the beautiful, rugged shores, and our very knowledgeable guide who was just great explaining everything we saw. We would do this tour again if we ever come to Alaska.

We've cruised Alaska's coast before, but never saw so much wildlife. Allen Marine, a local family-owned tour business, really knows where the humpbacks, killer whales, and sea otters hang out. We took this tour out of Sitka and another from Juneau. Both tours were super, reasonably priced, and had comfortable indoor and outdoor viewing seating.
