Grand-daughter attends Summer camp program for two years. Has been both very educational and loads of fun. We hike as a family . . . Was do-able even with 22 month old in back pack carrier! If you enjoy the beauty and excitement of Hawaii's nature and aina ... this is the place to explore.

We took a 2.5 mile loop hike through the Makiki valley starting at the Nature Center, and it was challenging but beautiful. A great place to get away from the city, although come prepared for rain. This is one my favorite places to take my kids. The hiking trails are not too difficult. There's a small stream. It's a wonderful bit of nature, just minutes from the city.
