In early 2000, we created our company with a very simple idea in mind: to provide our guests with not only a surf lesson, but a surfing experience that would rival the most memorable times of their lives. Our combination of the very best island firefighter surf instructors, a pristine secluded beach with perfect rolling beginner waves and the use of state-of-the-art safety equipment has been our recipe for success. We take great pride in our crew who really know the meaning of teamwork and the value of a quality experience. We've received hundreds of testimonial letters and emails telling us that it was not just the surf lesson, but also the instructors and staff that made their experience so special. Our team is rooted in the values of the Fire Service which translates to "taking care of people", above everything else. Thank you for taking the time to check out Hawaiian Fire Surf School, providers of the best surf lesson on Oahu. When you are in Hawaii, let us teach you to surf and give you the experience of a lifetime. « less

All you need is two hours, they take care of the rest. We got picked up promptly in the morning, a few quick stops to grab some other folks and then they got right down to business: instructions, safety, what to expect and lots of encouragement. I was kind of nervous that we'd all be wiping out, but the instructors... More

These guys and gals are the best! My sons are in their early twenties and both are over 6'2". I was a little concerned about them being able to get up on their boards because of their heights and long legs. No problem! The instructors were very friendly and very encouraging. They were able to individualize helpful tips for each... More

I booked 2 surf lessons on a Mother's Day weekend, which was truly a perfect gift. Being out in the water and having a wonderful time with my family is all I ask for. We always love the beach, but surfing has always been something I have not mastered. I signed up a class for myself and 12 year old... More

I am a 58 year old woman with an 11 year old daughter, of course she was up and surfing in minutes, it took them a little longer to teach me, but I surfed!!! I am not the fittest or trimest either. If you are willing to try they will get you surfing. I went from really thinking it wasn't... More

Had an awesome time with the Hawaiian Fire Surf School! The instructors were straight to the point and were super friendly. I love how they taught us how to surf in a more remote beach. If you want to learn how to surf choose Hawaiian Fire Surf School. They truly are the best out there.

Had a great time learning to surf in Hawaii. One of my bucket list items has always been to learn how to surf and stand up on a wave. In researching the various surf schools, I chose Hawaiian fire for the following reasons: Convenient Waikiki morning pick-up and return by their shuttle van included in the price; learning to surf... As I recently made my first trip to Hawaii, I knew I had to take a surf lesson. I researched and stumbled upon Hawaiian Fire and I couldn't have selected a better surf school. I schedule my lesson about two weeks prior to my trip. On the day of the lesson, I was promptly picked up at my hotel and... More

These guys were awesome! So friendly and helpful. All of us (6 kids 9-14 yrs old, and mom and dad) were able to stand and surf! We left hotel pick up spot at 9:45 and returned about 2:15 - drive was about 40 minutes each way and was comfortable. Even though surfing time (after instruction) was only a little over... More

This was my first time surfing. My friend had gone surfing once before, but she was also a beginner. I was nervous about going surfing because I can't swim. I was ecstatic to find the instructors were very attentive, friendly, and patient. They also had a really good sense of humour, which calmed my nerves. I will definitely take another... More
